i m new to this forum,,n i want have a query that if we can use PERL for playing an audio file or for playing a playlist ??, if yes, can someone help me in this,,

Yes, you can, but you have to be more specific, which audio format do you have in mind? and what operating system? For example, you have Apache::MP3 (library to generate streamable directories and playlists), you also have Audio::Play::MPG123 to play files using mgp123, in Windows you have Win32::Sound that allow you to play wav files, etc.

Look in cpan.org, you'll have plenty of options.
